Actor - Choreographer - Dancer - Director - Singer
About the artist:
Sean is proud to have been born at Kaiser Hospital on Geary Street in San Francisco, and growing up in the Richmond District. He is a second gereration dancer, his father having danced and trained with New York City Ballet (with George Balanchine), and in later years appearances with San Francisco Ballet and National Ballet of Canada. His Mom trained with the American Academy of Dramatic Arts in New York, and performed in a punk rock band in her early years, opening for bands like Blondie, Devo and the Go-Go's. Sean has been performing since he was small, and has performed across the Bay Area with American Musical Theatre of San Jose (Funny Girl, On The Twentieth Century ), Theatre on San Pedro Square (You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown), The Magic Theatre (New Theatre Workshop's Homeland), Willows Theatre Company (Big River, Gypsy, Annie), The Western Stage (The Real Thing, Meet Me in St. Louis ), City College of SF (Sweeney Todd, Our Town) and Palo Alto Players (The Boyfriend, Joseph...Dreamcoat). Sean has also directed and choreographed his favorite musical, Bells are Ringing, for Chanticleers Theatre, and his choreography for Beehive at Palo Alto Players was deemed "outstanding" by Inside Bay Area. Sean is a graduate of the American Musical and Dramatic Academy, NYC, and Theatre Artists Institute at AMTSJ. He has also studied further with Studion ACT and San Francisco Ballet. Current: See Sean as Joe in the nostalgic play "Come Back to the 5 & Dime, Jimmy Dean, Jimmy Dean" at the California Conservatory Theatre in San Leandro. Check out www.cct-sl.org for more info.
