About the artist: What can I tell ya... as of 2/11/03 I can show you my bio so far....
GEORGE MAURO [Pseudolus] He has far too many theater credits to bother with. If you're really interested, ask him after the show...
The last time Sunnyvale saw him was in ‘Little Shop of Horrors’ a few years back where he played, among other characters, the Dentist.
He most recently played Fred/Petruchio in West Valley Light Opera’s ‘Kiss Me Kate’ where he learned to play with a bullwhip!
He was part of a long running musical review at the SheltonTheater in San Francisco in a show called ‘AreWeAlmostThere?’
Recently he played Anton Chekhov in ‘Chekhov In Yalta’ in Pacifica and The Coach in 'BlackBallin'' at Venue9 in San Francisco. Before that he played Clifton Feddinton, the general manager in '1940's Radio Hour' at BusBarn.
Other notable appearances have been playing a 100 yr old Italian great-grandmother,La Nona, with TeatroVision in San Jose. And there was a musical version of 'InvasionOfTheBodySnatchers' where he played one of the leading men... or leading Pods, as it were.
Some of his favorite roles have been El Gallo (The Fantasticks), Greg (Sylvia), Sancho (La Mancha), Henry Drummond (Inherit The Wind), Dr.Craven (Secret Garden), Lazar Wolf (Fiddler), The Mayor (Middle Aged White Guys), Ira Stone (Laughter 23rd Floor), Mr. MacAfee (Bye Bye Birdie), Annus (Judas/Jesus understudy) (J.C.Superstar), Magnus (Real Inspector Hound), Henry(Actors’ Nightmare), Tyler Moss (Crossing Delancey), Percival Browne (The Boyfriend), Major-Gen Stanley (Pirates of Penzance) and Felix Unger (The Odd Couple).
In 'real life' he's a 3D animation/interactive TV guy. He lives in Pacifica with his wife/director Lennon her son Jacob and their four parrots; Gilly, Skippy, Rockwell and Wallybird. Oh yes, and one small kitten named Missy.
