    About the artist: I’m a digital sculptor, using metal, glass, and rapid-prototyping technology to build abstract geometries. My work explores order in space: tension between inside and outside, zero and infinity, how our three dimensions can be alike and different. I became interested as an undergraduate in mathematics, wanting to cross over from formal abstractions into physical shapes, and sculpture gave me the way.

    These pieces fuse logic and intuition completely. The design process is pure analog – moving the elements with my hands until they achieve beauty – but because it is informed by my deep understanding of geometry, each sculpture is also a coherent statement about the nature of space. Advanced prototyping techniques free me to explore complex dances of form, while craft methods dating from the Renaissance give a textural interplay to the rich materials.

    It is about bringing things together: art and mathematics, craftsmanship and technology, order and beauty. These sculptures have brought grace and harmony into my life, as I hope they will to yours.
