About the artist: JOE DUFFY began his professional career nearly 20 years ago as a print model and television commercial actor. He has since continued into theatre, musical theatre, opera, recital, dance and choreography. Joe performed in four national television broadcasts at the John F. Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C., as well as recording the soundtracks for these productions. He relocated to the Bay Area in 2001 after years of work and education in New York City and his home town of Philadelphia.

International credits include: Grease ( Dance Captain/ Teen Angel/ Eugene et al), Pablo Casals Music Festival (San Juan/ televised), and Gala events across Europe for RTL and RTL2 television.

National tours: PARADE - First National Company under the direction of Harold Prince ( Dance Captain/Swing of 11 roles), Gypsy (Yonkers), Babes in Toyland and Monster in the Woods (cast recordings), as well as 2 tours for Philadelphia Theater Caravan's educational outreach programs (actor, stage manager and choreographer). Joe choreographed Sacramento...50 Miles! for New York's Children's Music Workshop and assisted Japanese Director, Amon Miyamoto on I GOT MERMAN (Off- Broadway/ American Premier).

Other choreo credits include: SVGMC "Falsettoland" Suite, Damn Yankees at HARKER, ON THE TOWN (assoc. choreo.), Gershwin! By George (World Premier), The Philadelphia Orchestra 100th Birthday Celebration, and various revue showcases for The Dance Machine.

California appearances include: Joseph..., Damn Yankees, Grease, Miss Saigon, Funny Girl, 20th Century and Sound Of Music at AMTSJ. Candide and The Snow Queen at the Hal Prince Theatre, The Fantasticks (critically acclaimed performance), Godspell, Beauty and the Beast, A Midsummer Night's Dream (Puck) to name a few.

He is currently on faculty at Schumachers' School, Starting Arts Inc., and has taught for the Harker Conservatory.
