About the artist:

Kelly is a dancer/singer/actor/choreographer/teacher currently living in San Jose. She was the 2005 winner of the Best Actress Award from American Musical Theatre San Jose in their High School Musical Theatre Honors Program for her role as Velma Kelly in Oak Grove High School's production of Chicago. Kelly competed against actors from 25 high schools to win this prestigious award and scholarship to AMT's Theatre Arts Institute.

Kelly is currently cast as Olga Mara in Marquee Productions' Singin' In The Rain for whom she also appeared in the world premiere of When You Wish, an original musical produced in collaboration with the Disney Corporation. She has portrayed Mr. Mistoffelees in the CMTSJ production of Cats, directed by Jacob Brent who played the same role on Broadway, in London, and on the video. She appeared in the original cast of AMTSJ's Christmas Dreamland, and also played the featured role of Consuela in AMTSJ's West Side Story (opposite Diana DeGarmo), while understudying the part of Anybodys. Some of Kelly's other musical theater roles include Amneris in Aida (Children's Musical Theater San Jose), Mimi in Miss Saigon (CMTSJ), Cassie in A Chorus Line (OGHS & nominated for Best Actress by AMTSJ), Crystal in Little Shop Of Horrors (CMTSJ), Tzeitel in Fiddler On the Roof (CMTSJ), Anytime Annie in 42nd Street (OGHS), and part of the Bird Girl Trio in Ray of Light Theatre's production of Seussical in San Francisco.

Kelly currently teaches dance and voice throughout the Bay Area, and is on staff as a Teaching Artist with Children's Musical Theatre San Jose and the California Sports Center. She choreographed the Spring 2010 Musical All Shook Up for Willow Glen High School. Kelly has been a member of Teen Dance Company of the Bay Area (TDC), Phaxion Hip Hop Company, and Impulse Dance Company. Kelly has won numerous state and national dance titles in all styles of dance, and is also a versatile singer with a 4-octave range.
