About the artist: During the week, CORTLAND JOHNSON is a quality engineer at a rocket facility in the Silicon Valley. His home is in Oakhurst near Yosimite where he and his family raise Alpacas for sale and their fiber. His introduction to the performing arts was in "Our Miss Brooks and the Christmas Carol" more years ago than he cares to admit. The love for theatre was reborn when he moved to Oakhurst and became involved with the Goldenchain theatre. He appeared in many of their melodramas. He performed in parts ranging from a female cook to a hanging judge.
Local appearances were in "Crashing Heaven", "The Time of Your Life" and "Bye Bye Birdie". Among his many talents that he provides, is the ability to use a dustpan and broom.
