Actor - Director - Musician
About the artist: Jeff has created a variety of entertainment all over the Bay Area from San Francisco to Santa Cruz that include book musicals, plays and musical revues. Some of Mr. Hicks’ recent credits as director include: award winning productions of Flower Drum Song and Seven Brides for Seven Brothers for WVLO, Superman the Musical, The Rocky Horror Show, Art, Jekyll and Hyde, 42nd Street, The Wiz, Wit, Anything Goes, Oliver!, Candide, The King and I, The Odd Couple, Gypsy, Annie, Titanic, the Musical (Non-professional Premiere), and the World Premiere of The Rookie and the Pro. As a musical director/conductor, Jeff has put together orchestras recently for Annie Get Your Gun, Jekyll and Hyde, Seussical: the Musical, The Sound of Music, The Wiz, Anything Goes, Footloose, Honk, Peter Pan, Titanic: the Musical, The Music Man, and big: the Musical. An accomplished actor, Jeff has been performing for fifteen years and has appeared in such shows as Oliver (Bill Sykes), You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown (Charlie Brown), A Midsummer Night’s Dream (Peter Quince), Annie (Franklin Roosevelt), the hero for the Gaslighter Theatre in Campbell and recently appeared in the Ensemble for Mame at WVLO. As a radio personality and television talk show host, he has worked with KSFS-FM, KSCU-FM and hosted The Show with No Reason for KKPX-TV65 (PAX) as well as appeared in Walt Disney’s Flubber. During the day Jeff helps teach a special day class of 3-5th graders at Sedgwick Elementary School. This summer, Jeff appears as Vinnie in The Odd Couple with Actors Theatre Center and will teach drama at DeAnza College.
