Gary S. Martinez
Actor - Director - Musician - Singer - Writer
About the artist: As a member of Equity since 1974, Gary has continued to work as an actor over the course of the last 27 years with such companies as The Guthrie Theater of Minnesota, American Players Theater, and A.R.T.S., Inc. Since returning to California in 1984, Gary has acted for such companies as San Jose Rep, the California, Marin, and San Francisco Shakespeare Festivals, Eureka Theatre, BRAVA--for Women in the Arts!, EXO Productions, City Lights Theater Company, San Jose Stage (15 productions), TheatreWorks (13 productions), Pacific Alliance Stage Company, Teatro Vision, and Sacramento Theater Company. Gary has just completed a run of Wit at San Jose Stage and will be going into rehearsals for Charley's Aunt at TheatreWorks. His media work includes Howard the Duck, Die Die My Darling, Of Men and Angels, various independent films, and work as voice talent for such clients as Sega, Namco, Agetec, LucasArts, Strategic Simulations, and The Learning Company. He will be heard in the soon-to-be released CD ROM game Pool of Radiance: Ruins of Myth Drannor and Sega's Jet Set Radio Future. He can be seen and heard on KTEH, Silicon Valley Public Television and KCAH, Public Television for Santa Cruz, Monterey, and San Benito Counties. Gary is serving his first term on the San Francisco/Northern California Chapter of the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences.
Gary's next project will be as George Frederick Handel in "Joyful Noise" at Willows Theatre Company in Concord, which runs April 29 - May 26, 2002.
