    The Kirkpatrick's School of Dance provides excellent instruction for every category, from preschool to adult. The successful preschool program is a one-hour class for kids ages 3-5, consisting of ballet, tap and tumbling. The upper-level classes are divided into three categories -- ballet, tap and jazz.     The Kirkpatrick's School of Dance provides excellent instruction for every category, from preschool to adult. The successful preschool program is a one-hour class for kids ages 3-5, consisting of ballet, tap and tumbling. The upper-level classes are divided into three categories -- ballet, tap and jazz. The ballet department focuses on proper technique, body alignment and placement, flexibility and strength. The jazz department is very unique in that the instructors teach diverse styles of jazz. Students learn technique from Broadway, Fosse, classical, lyrical, modern and hip-hop. The tap department teaches a sophisticated and classic style with strong foundation technique. Each student not only learns the basic fundamentals of tap, but also fine-tunes their sense of rhythm and learns musicality.
