    The CSM Panhandlers, an internationally-acclaimed, twenty-five member steel drum band that has been entertaining audiences throughout California since 1987, consistently receives accolades for its performances and recordings. Under the direction of percussionist Jim Munzenrider, the group has built an impressive repertoire of socas, calypsos, beguines, and other styles, including original compositions by the masters of this art form and inventive arrangements of popular pieces.

    This group is one of the few authentic Trinidadian-style steel drum bands in the United States. In the true spirit of a community band, members represent an international, intergenerational performance group from a wide variety of occupations, united by a common love for the steel drum sound and the unique arrangements that define the band.
