    Redwood City Community Theatre is a nonprofit community theater company that was organized by Director Lesley Hoelper and David "Papa Bear" Briggs in 2009 after being approached by Redwood City's Cultural Comission to provide a cultural event to the community.     Redwood City Community Theatre is a nonprofit community theater company that was organized by Director Lesley Hoelper and David "Papa Bear" Briggs in 2009 after being approached by Redwood City's Cultural Comission to provide a cultural event to the community. It produces one family show per year every summer at beautiful Carrington Hall at Sequoia High School in Redwood City.

    People of all ages and ethnicities are encouraged to participate in the productions. There has been multi-generational involvement in each production, and each show typically involves sixty to one hundred members doing everything from building sets to sewing costumes—not to mention singing, dancing and acting! The end result -- a high-caliber production that delights audience members of all ages -- makes all the effort worthwhile.

    Redwood City Community Theatre fosters community enrichment and provides opportunities for creative participation in the arts by producing family-friendly live theater and providing education in the theater arts to adults and children alike.
