Jan Schachter, founder of Plum Tree Pottery, first encountered clay at age six and has been working with clay ever since. She founded the Plum Tree Pottery Gallery in 1978 in Palo Alto and subsequently relocated to the current location in Portola Valley. The Gallery features award-winning ceramic pieces on display and for purchase.
