The Society of Western Artists is a nonprofit art organization located in San Bruno and Fresno. As a representational art group, it is dedicated to the purpose of sustaining high cultural standards in American Art and for promoting closer relations between the artist and the art-loving public. Its members include both professional and non-professional artists, as well as many non-artists interested in the promotion of art.

The Society of Western Artists is a Signature Society, and it has juried shows for members throughout the year, along with a major Annual Exhibition. By entering and being accepted into these shows, members have the opportunity to accumulate points for their esteemed Signature Award.
