    The Spanishtown Historical Society deals with maintaining the history of the Coastside around Half Moon Bay. Their intent is to keep the history of this magnificent area alive. From the historic jail to the passing of the Ocean Shore Railway, they hold events, activities, make books, maintain buildings and more.     The Spanishtown Historical Society deals with maintaining the history of the Coastside around Half Moon Bay. Their intent is to keep the history of this magnificent area alive. From the historic jail to the passing of the Ocean Shore Railway, they hold events, activities, make books, maintain buildings and more. Meetings are held monthly for members to discuss the activities of the society. Some goals and/or accomplishments of the Society are historical plaques for old local buildings, the restoration of the Half Moon Bay Jail, an in-depth walking tour highlighting the historical aspects of the local area, and more.
