	World Beat Groove - Concert and Lecture Presented by College Of San Mateo at College of San Mateo Theatre December 7, 2011 A member of the College of San Mateo's Ethnic Studies department, Rudy "El Professor" Ramirez, will make a short power point presentation on the history, philosophy, and protagonists of this exciting and relatively new genre of music. Preceding this presentation will be the sounds of African drum ensemble The Rhythm Shakerz. After the presentation, the World Beat Groove band Zanzibar will perform and "El Professor" will be joining them on guitar. 	Jazz Under The Stars - Observatory Event Presented by College Of San Mateo at College of San Mateo December 3, 2011 Visit the College of San Mateo's rooftop observatory, and view the moon and more through high-powered telescopes while listening to KCSM Jazz 91.1 FM music. As an outdoor event, it is weather-dependent. If skies become rainy or cloudy, the event is cancelled. Please check the Official Site for updates.
