    Filoli Goes to the Movies - Celebrating Films through Flowers is the theme for Filoli’s 22nd annual Flower Show fundraiser starting the evening of May 6th through May 9th, 2010, where spectacular floral arrangements and magnificent table settings complement the splendor of the Filoli House and Gardens. This annual showcase of floral arrangements and exhibits, by more than sixty professional designers and talented amateurs, recognizes the film industry in the form of creative flower arrangements, special garden exhibits and floral vignettes throughout the historic House and Garden. Children’s floral entries, garden art, educational and horticultural displays, and plant collections will also be featured.

    The Flower Show begins with the Opening Night Reception on Thursday evening, May 6th at 5:30 p.m. Guests can stroll the gardens at twilight, view the floral arrangements and meet the designers, while enjoying musical entertainment, wine and hors d’oeuvres. From Friday, May 7th through Sunday, May 9th, in addition to the Flower Show, Filoli’s historic greenhouses will be open for a rare chance to view plants that have been in Filoli’s collection from 1920 to the present. Flower chats will be held each day at 1:30 p.m. on the Dining Room Terrace. There will also be musical entertainment in the House and on the Tennis Court.
