    Growing up in Philadelphia, Jackie studied classical music at Chestnut Hill College, and mentored vocally with Gil Morris, coach to Patti LaBelle. Associations from her early work in orchestra, on viola, at the Philly Folk Fest, and On Stage in Theatre led to a vocal spot for a prominent area Jazz Band.     Growing up in Philadelphia, Jackie studied classical music at Chestnut Hill College, and mentored vocally with Gil Morris, coach to Patti LaBelle. Associations from her early work in orchestra, on viola, at the Philly Folk Fest, and On Stage in Theatre led to a vocal spot for a prominent area Jazz Band. Coming to Colorado, she appeared solo in Boulder County, featuring a strong repertoire of classic blues. Her musical diversity led to performing as bass player for a regional blues trio, and lead singer, guitarist and arranger with a popular regional folk band, becoming a preferred opening act for Dar Williams, Jonathan Edwards, and Arlo Guthrie at all the major Colorado venues.

      Great selection and an involved audience. She has a commanding voice but gentle demeanor. I had a great time. Jackie plays guitar too, quite well. I bet she'd be stunning, just solo.
