    Third Thursdays in Downtown San Mateo.... there is something for everyone. Visitors will experience the unique flavor of San Mateo through local and international art that will be featured in businesses on B Street, from First through Fourth Avenues. All businesses on B Street will stay open until 8 pm to keep the vitality of the street alive and friendly. The Streets of San Mateo are just one of the exciting adventures for families to enjoy in today’s Downtown that is setting the standards for tomorrow’s urban environments.

    The Downtown San Mateo Association’s Third Thursdays, is designed to bring together an eclectic group of businesses and cultures. Artwork will be for sale that evening with proceeds going directly to the artists. The event will conclude with an artists’ reception at a Downtown business.

    Subsequent events will be thematic and feature various art genres including photography, fashion, sculture and urban art. Parking is available in public garages and on-street and is free after 6 pm. Come take a stroll and enjoy the cultural experience that is Third Thursdays.
