A Boyfriend For My Wife, is a clever (anti) romantic comedy that was the biggest hit of 2008 in Argentina. The film explores a couple’s relationship with fresh, witty humor. The superb Valeria Bertuccelli stars as La Tana, the unbearably talkative, cynical, and dissatisfied wife of Tenso (Adrian Suar). Tenso does not know how to face his wife, to tell her that he wants a divorce. Their relationship has become impossible because of Tana’s gloomy character: she is always complaining of the weather, the government, the neighbors or of anything else. A friend of Tenso’s, suggests he should turn the problem around…and have his wife walk out on him so Tenso arranges for his wife’s seduction by a legendary Romeo known as "The Crow" to provide a justified cause for divorce. But the scheme does not go as planned. Director: Juan Taratuto, Argentina, 2008, 96 minutes. In Spanish with English subtitles.

The film was nominated for Best Actor, Best Actress, Best Screenplay and Best Supporting Actor for the Argentinean Film Critics Association Awards 2009.
