    Art In Action - Library Art Shows

    Art in Action partners with local public libraries to display student artwork during the school year. School curators select and mount a variety of art projects inspired by Art in Action lessons, highlighting different grade levels each month. Art in Action staff members work closely with children's librarians to promote books and other reading material aligned with the featured artists and masterpieces.     Art in Action partners with local public libraries to display student artwork during the school year. School curators select and mount a variety of art projects inspired by Art in Action lessons, highlighting different grade levels each month. Art in Action staff members work closely with children's librarians to promote books and other reading material aligned with the featured artists and masterpieces. Artwork is on display at local libraries from November 12 - December 9. Artwork on display at the San Mateo Public Library comes from the Fiesta Gardens, George Hall, Highlands, North Shoreview Montessori, Park, St. Matthew, St. Catherine, St. Gregory, St. Timothy, S. Hillsborough, Sunnybrae schools.

    Opening dates:
    Kindergarten: Week of October 12, 2009
    1st grade: Week of November 9, 2009
    2nd grade: Week of December 7, 2009
    3rd grade: Week of January 11, 2010
    4th grade: Week of February 8, 2010
    5th grade: Week of March 8, 2010
    6th - 8th grades: Week of April 5, 2010
