    The longest running show at Spindrift, Asylum Improv has been bringing comedy to Pacifica for twenty years. Asylum offers improvisational workshops and performances all year round.     The longest running show at Spindrift, Asylum Improv has been bringing comedy to Pacifica for twenty years. Asylum offers improvisational workshops and performances all year round. Asylum performs several live shows each year, usually following each Pacifica Spindrift Players production. The troupe performs a smorgasbord of games and scenarios, mostly based on audience suggestions. Scenes, characters, and entertainment are created right on the spot, just like they do on the television show "Whose Line Is It Anyway?"

    Asylum also performs a half-hour show each Friday night at 10pm on the local cable station, Channel 26. It tapes two shows at the studio every other month. While not live, this show allows troupe members to further hone their improv skills and play their favorite games. The show is also shown on other cable channels in San Mateo County. In fact, Asylum shows were the first ever be sent out to those other cable channels!
