The Belmont Community Players are excited to announce their 21st Anniversary Edition of "Melodrama at the Barrett Community Center." This year they present renowned local “thespians” performing their latest melodrama, Dirty Work on the Trail (or Go Slow with the Pony Express).
The story begins at a Pony Express Way station on the edge of Carson City Nevada. The station is run by Widow Mentary, her daughter Ella, and mysterious women who walked in from the desert one morning and stayed. One day the local stagecoach had to stop there to get fresh horses, and the passengers disembarked entering the Pony Express office and there starts are stories of hope and dreams, family and love, and treachery and deceit. So pony up and enjoy.
