    An Evening with Wine and Roses

    Join Filoli for a lovely summer evening in their beautiful gardens, sampling fine wines with friends, surrounded with the fragrance and color of the roses and flowers in full bloom. As you stroll, you can enjoy the sparkling melodies of Joe Samuels jazz trio as their music fills the garden.     Join Filoli for a lovely summer evening in their beautiful gardens, sampling fine wines with friends, surrounded with the fragrance and color of the roses and flowers in full bloom. As you stroll, you can enjoy the sparkling melodies of Joe Samuels jazz trio as their music fills the garden. The following wineries will bring their best vintages to Filoli for your sampling pleasure: Thomas Fogarty, Ridge, Frog’s Leap, Domenico’s, Martella, Cannonball and Storr’s.

    You will also have an opportunity to improve your knowledge of their wines through visiting with their representatives during the tasting and at dinner. After an hour and a half of tasting, cheeses and palate cleansers, a gourmet dinner will be served at 6:30, in the Visitor and Education Center with choices of Rack of Lamb, Salmon or Vegetarian. You may request your choice of entrée and whether you prefer to be in the main Dining Room, the Café, or the Café Terrace, when you make your reservation. Seating is limited so please make your reservations early so you won’t miss this opportunity to experience Filoi at its finest.

    After dinner, while you enjoy dessert and coffee, we’ll draw the winners’ names for the fabulous prizes from our benefit raffle. Just to mention one: A three day autumn stay at a 5 bedroom, 3 bath house in Northstar near Lake Tahoe. There will also be generous gift certificates from local restaurants, vintage bottles of wine and much more. In addition, raffle tickets will be available for purchase at the Visitors Services Office and during the evening wine sampling.
