The Golden Gate Blues Society is proud to announce its first concert production, an unforgettable evening of the best in Bay Area Blues with three of the area's most incredible artists: E.C. Scott & Smoke, Mark Hummel and the Blues Survivors with Rusty Zinn plus The Daniel Castro Band.

E.C. Scott & Smoke - No less a music industry legend than Jerry Wexler, co-founder of Atlantic Records, called E.C. Scott "one honest-to-God soul singer." High praise indeed from the man who produced Aretha Franklin, Ray Charles, and Wilson Pickett! Blues and R&B diva E.C. Scott possesses a warm, inviting voice and a delivery that can be smooth and sultry one minute and sassy and sexy the next. She can mesmerize a crowd down to a whisper or rock them into a loud frenzy.

Mark Hummel has been nominated the last two years for a Blues Award for Best Blues Harp. Mark has been putting on the Blues Harp Blowouts for the last 18 yrs. in the Bay Area & for 6 yrs. nationally & internationally. Hummel's new releases are a Blowout CD on ElectroFi-"Still Here And Gone-1993-2007". A Mountain Top release of "Mark Hummel's Chicago Blues Party" is planned for late Dec. w/the late Jimmy Rogers,Eddie Taylor & Luther Tucker.

Rusty Zinn has been playing Blues guitar since he was a teenager, first with Luther Tucker, and Jimmy Rogers, then he toured & recorded with Hummel. Zinn was brought on the road by Kim Wilson in the early 90s, where he made a big name for himself as a master Blues player. Rusty recorded two CDs as a bandleader on BlackTop, and stunned the record-buying public with his golden pipes. An album with Alligator records put Rusty in the national spotlight, in more of a soul blues direction.

Daniel Castro is a force on guitar. With his pure passionate sound reminiscent of B.B. King, Albert King and Albert Collins, he is on the forefront of the Bay Area Blues Scene. With his trademark Fender Telecaster and backed by one of the hottest bands around, he has already gained quite a reputation as a Bluesman. The band is just as comfortable playing tough, raw Chicago Blues as they are playing a hard-driving-funky-rockin'-down-home-boogie. Continuously playing to a captivated audience and consistently bringing the house down, Daniel keeps his band soaring while always remaining true to his Blues roots.
