    Bennett Roth-Newell is a 23-year old jazz pianist who performs all over California’s Bay Area regions with a variety of ensembles. Hailing locally from Redwood City, he has performed at the San Jose Jazz Festival, Healdsburg Jazz Festival, and North Carolina's National Black Theatre Festival as well as hundreds of venues ranging from the South Bay to Sonoma County.     Bennett Roth-Newell is a 23-year old jazz pianist who performs all over California’s Bay Area regions with a variety of ensembles. Hailing locally from Redwood City, he has performed at the San Jose Jazz Festival, Healdsburg Jazz Festival, and North Carolina's National Black Theatre Festival as well as hundreds of venues ranging from the South Bay to Sonoma County. He is currently in the process of completing his Master’s degree in Jazz Studies at San Jose State. Roth-Newell excels in straight-ahead, American Songbook, Latin, and contemporary styles of jazz and has played alongside some of jazz’s top-flight musicians including Matt Wilson, John Handy, Yancie Taylor, Jackie Ryan, and Steffen Kuehn.

    Joined by Cody Rhodes (drums) and Mike Hallesy (bass), this dynamic trio will feature an array of stellar arrangements from the bebop, latin, and contemporary jazz repetoire as well as some of Bennett's original compositions.
