Kim McCool Nelson’s collection of “action figures” from movies, especially Disney movies, probably totals more than a thousand. Some are displayed in “the room” at home; more are stored away.

    Nelson has been collecting action figure toys since childhood. When she was five or six, her grandfather bought her The Flintstones, Jetsons, and Disney movie figures. Then, when she moved away from home, her mother gave them away. So her grandfather began replacing the toys. Now her husband, Brian Nelson, aids and abets.

    This exhibition will include her Pirates of the Caribbean and Harry Potter movie series collections.
