    Nathan Owens is the creator of a show dedicated to the R&B sounds of a bygone day called appropriately, Nathan Owens - Motown After Dark. The show pays tribute not only to Motown music but to the music of Aretha Franklin, Gladys Knight, Tina Turner and James Brown—and groups like the Spinners who weren’t on the Motown roster of singers of the same era, but made serious contributions to R&B music. They stick to the late...

    Nathan Owens is the creator of a show dedicated to the R&B sounds of a bygone day called appropriately, Nathan Owens - Motown After Dark. The show pays tribute not only to Motown music but to the music of Aretha Franklin, Gladys Knight, Tina Turner and James Brown—and groups like the Spinners who weren’t on the Motown roster of singers of the same era, but made serious contributions to R&B music. They stick to the late ‘60s and early ‘70s era of R&B music and add a little bit of Michael Jackson to their repertoire. They'll play songs that they not only do really well but also the songs that audiences expect to hear.
