Influenced at an early age in jazz by father Bobby Hutcherson, Barry was exposed to great jazz musicians such as Herbie Hancock, Freddie Hubbard, Tony Williams, Ron Carter, Jackie McLean as well as many others. After performing in many settings and leading jazz clubs with top flight players, he is now residing and working in the San Francisco Bay Area.
