Although Pearl Sofaer's large family originated in Iraq, she was born and raised in Bombay, India. Her family's rich heritage of cuisine was the source of Pearl's book Baghdad to Bombay: In the Kitchens of My Cousins. In addition to her writing, Pearl is an accomplished painter, sculptor and singer, having served as a cantor for several years. Her story brings delicious food to your table.
