    Raised in the redwoods and inspired by the greats of Americana, Folk, Rock, and Country music, David Luning brings his own voice to the table. His songs include humorous insights about love and car troubles, tales of ramblin' and homesick desperation, and foot stompin sing-alongs. David's voice has a rich timbre which captivates and soothes. People have often commented that his lyrics remind them of a young John Prine. His original songs...

    Raised in the redwoods and inspired by the greats of Americana, Folk, Rock, and Country music, David Luning brings his own voice to the table. His songs include humorous insights about love and car troubles, tales of ramblin' and homesick desperation, and foot stompin sing-alongs. David's voice has a rich timbre which captivates and soothes. People have often commented that his lyrics remind them of a young John Prine. His original songs continue to win songwriting competitions and his fan base is expanding quickly. David plays guitar, piano, harmonica, and accordion in a variety of genres including Folk, Americana, Country, and Rock. He performs solo or with three amazing musicians: Zak Garn, Dave Sampson, and Ben Dubin; collectively called the Rail Hoppers.

    Bring your lunch or just relax with live music each Monday and Wednesday from 11:30am to 1:30pm on Courthouse Square while enjoying wonderful singers and songwriters with a wide variety of musical styles. Brought to you by the West Coast Songwriters, these solo performers will bring that hometown feel to Redwood City's community gathering spot at lunchtime, and make you feel a part of it too!
