    Compiling Concepts to Create an Approach to Painting: Long Pose Life Drawing/Theoretical Structure in the Human Figure/Controlled Palette Painting/Full Color Figure Painting: this course will explore and improve an array of skills in each participant, justify assembling an effective visual strategy, and help each person produce a beautiful example. The class is open to those who prefer to draw, and to advanced as well as beginning painters. After an initial day of practice and intelligible design, a 9 day pose will be painted in partially in grisaille (monochromatic tones) and partially in full color, in order to forge a working process to deal with gesture, proportion, shape, structure, plane and morphological details in and light upon human form. Color painting will complete the piece, in either a controlled palette or full color, light-effect based palette. A lecture to further clarify shape, structure, plane and morphology will accompany the experience.
