Come and experience the ambiance of Buenos Aires with Argentine Tango Dancing. Angelica's Bistro hosts a weekly Argentine Tango class and practica every Thursday. One of the featured teachers is Mayumi Fujio. Mayumi started dancing Argentine Tango in Edinburgh, Scotland in 1997. She had traveled throughout Europe to dance and to study with teachers such as Eric Jorisen, Biki and Muzo, Yvonne Meissner, Gustavo Naveira, and Chicho Frumboli. Using her previous experiences in Modern, Jazz, French Jive, Ballroom and Salsa, Mayumi has formed an elegant yet dynamic dance style. She is skilled in both close-embrace dancing and Tango Nuevo; plus she is a proficient leader as well. For Mayumi, Tango is an interpretation of the music, a communication with her partner, and an expression through her movement. Her teachings focus on the connection between the couple and basic movement within the music.
